Description:
The Lord willing we will meet at the church on Wednesday Dec. 2nd at 8:00 pm to continue our discussion on the book of Daniel -- title "Week 4 -- Nebuchadnezzar Builds a Great Statue". The meeting will be led by Dr. Art Witten. Suggested readings are Psalm 23, Isaiah 40:9-26, Daniel 3, Acts 17:16-32.
Some questions we can begin to think about: How does the story of deliverance in chapter 3 foreshadow a much greater reality? How does the Son of God reveal himself in this chapter? Does present day society build idols? How is this chapter a story about persecution? How can we as Christians engage in discussion with the authorities God has put in place, while remaining faithful to his word? What should we think about the protest movements of our day?
