Date:

Saturday, December 5, 2020

Time:

7:00am

Location:

Cornerstone

Description:

In times of suffering, questions about God’s goodness press in on our minds. Faith engages us in a wrestling match with our emotions and our trust in God. Should we be surprised by suffering? Could it be that suffering is part of the human condition? A calling ordained by God? As we continue watching the video series “Surprised by Suffering”, Dr. R.C. Sproul addresses the most difficult struggle of our experience: the problem of pain. He shows us that God is involved in our suffering and reminds us that a time is coming when there will be no more pain, death, sorrow, or sadness.
Everyone, to some degree or another, makes plans into the future. If we plan far enough into the future, we have to begin thinking about life after death. The ultimate question for all humanity is the one asked by Job: “If a man dies, shall he live again?” (Job 14:14). In our next lesson, Dr. Sproul explores the basic reason that many people throughout history have believed in life after death and develops the first of two sources for the Christian’s confidence in the reality of life after death.
All men are encouraged to join us at 7:00 am on Saturday, Dec. 5, 2020 in the Church basement for coffee, light breakfast food and Bible Study. Please bring a few dollars to help cover the cost of food. We will watch our video, followed by a time of discussion and prayer, and will aim to finish around 8:00 am.
In order to monitor our group size we ask that you let Trevor VanderVelde know if you are planning to attend. Call/text 905.906.0114 or email: trevor_vdv81@hotmail.ca
