"Awake" (formerly Men's Breakfast Bible Study) will begin again on Saturday October 13, 2018 at 7:00 am D.V. in the Church basement. We hope to meet on the second and fourth Saturdays of every month from October through March. Yes, this makes for an early morning but it is well worth it. This year we are planning to spend the first half of the year with the video series "A Time for Confidence", and moving into the second part of the year with the video series "Dealing with difficult problems". Men of all ages are invited and encouraged to bring a couple of bucks to help with the cost of food and join us for breakfast.
As members of a society that is quickly abandoning its Christian past, followers of Christ often feel disoriented or even frightened. When human leaders and political advocates fail us, doubts arise and the road to compromise beckons. In our first series, Dr. Stephen J. Nichols points to the almighty God as the source and ground of our confidence. Though the whole world may shake around us, His kingdom is unshakable. This is a time for confidence!
We are also excited to be initiating a prayer group following "Awake". This will give an opportunity as friends and brothers to spend some time in prayer with and for each other, as we encourage one another in our Christian confidence, and help each other deal with difficult problems. Whether you are struggling, heavy hearted, anxious, seeking accountability for yourself, or perhaps you're overjoyed about something that has happened, please join us! Feel free to bring a friend, and of course, if you need a ride please let us know.
