Description:
Join us again on Saturday November 10th at 7:00 am D.V. Men of all ages are invited and encouraged to bring a couple of bucks and join us for breakfast. Feel free to bring a friend, a neighbour, a co-worker, or a family member, and of course, if you need a ride please let us know.
After breakfast we will watch the next video in our series and have some time to discuss it and encourage one another. Whether you are struggling, heavy hearted, anxious, seeking accountability for yourself, or perhaps you're overjoyed about something that has happened, please join us!
Last time we looked at why we live in a time of confidence in God, and this time we will be looking at "Confidence in the Bible". Established on God’s very own character, His Word abides through the ages. In this lesson, Dr. Nichols links the past with the present to show how the Bible is our sure-footed foundation for confidence and is as culturally relevant today as ever.
As members of a society that is quickly abandoning its Christian past, followers of Christ often feel disoriented or even frightened. When human leaders and political advocates fail us, doubts arise and the road to compromise beckons. We can learn together, and help each other point to almighty God as the source and ground of our confidence. Though the whole world may shake around us, His kingdom is unshakable. This is a time for confidence, Confidence in the Bible!
In our closing prayer, we will also have an opportunity as friends and brothers to spend some time in prayer with and for each other, as we encourage one another in our Christian confidence, and help each other deal with difficult problems. Please bring your prayer requests so together we can be a hand and foot to one another. Those who wish to submit an anonymous prayer request may do so by sending an email ahead of time from an anonymous account to: trevor_vdv81@hotmail.ca
