Description:
Criminal Law: The Echo of Faith
The Supreme Court of Canada has recognized that every generation grapples with complex moral questions, often turning to criminal law for answers. As Christians, how are we to engage with these issues? Can we meaningfully contribute to the legal process? Does Christianity still have something to offer to our understanding of criminal law and justice today? And has the Bible shaped our criminal procedure, for better or worse?
Join Christian Legal Fellowship and Redeemer University on March 27, 7:30 p.m., at the Redeemer University library for the second annual Public Law Lecture, Criminal Law: The Echo of Faith. Hear from crown prosecutor Lowell Hunking as he draws from his decades of experience in criminal law to share his reflections on these fundamental questions. All are welcome to attend this free and engaging event for an evening of learning, reflection and dialogue.
Following the lecture, there will be a discussion and Q&A with a panel of Christian leaders and legal professionals. Reception to follow. To help us plan accordingly, please register at https://clflawlecture.eventbrite.ca.
