Description:
This coming Tuesday, October 6, we hope to get together for the third time. We prepare the study of Chapter 3 of the booklet about the letter of James: Listening and doing (James Chapter 1: 19-27)
Listening to the Word of the Lord also brings change in our lives. How are do we become willing to be obedient ? One of the ways to try to be obedient to God's good laws is to keep our tongues and be careful with what we say..Of course there is a more important part to it: our thoughts that generate our speaking! How can we help each other to bring our thoughts and words under the control of the Holy Spirit?
During the the topic "Voices from History" we will focus on the life of Guido de Bres and how the Lord used him to build the Reformed churches in the 16th century. No, he is not the founding father of our Local Highschool. He was beheaded in 1567, because of his contribution to the Belgic Confession. Good for us to know!
If you are interested: Heartily welcome!
We start at 7:15 and end 8:45
