Time:

Location:

Description:

In times of suffering, questions about God’s goodness press in on our minds. Faith engages us in a wrestling match with our emotions and our trust in God. Should we be surprised by suffering? Could it be that suffering is part of the human condition? A calling ordained by God? As we continue watching the video series “Surprised by Suffering”, Dr. R.C. Sproul addresses the most difficult struggle of our experience: the problem of pain. He shows us that God is involved in our suffering and reminds us that a time is coming when there will be no more pain, death, sorrow, or sadness.
While all people tend to wonder about death, Scripture leads us to ponder the ultimate questions about someone’s spiritual state. In our next lesson "Dying in Faith" Dr. Sproul focuses on the only two options that are available to us when we die. If we die “in faith,” then we will be able to echo the words of the Apostle Paul: “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith” (2 Tim. 4:7).
All men from Cornerstone are encouraged to join us at 7:00 am on Saturday, Nov. 21, 2020 in the Church basement for coffee, light breakfast food and Bible Study. Guests and visitors are also welcome! If you are able, we ask that you bring a few dollars to help cover the cost of food. We will watch our video, followed by a time of discussion and prayer, and will aim to finish around 8:00 am. If you need a ride please call/text Trevor VanderVelde 905.906.0114.
